Welcome to Wednesday Beginner Summer League!  This year we have moved our league to Clear Creek Soccer Complex on Rt. 32 (where the league tournament has always been).  This new location provides us more full-sized fields to play on.  The league will run Wednesdays, May 30 - August 1.  We will be off on both July 4 and the week of the World Ultimate Club Championships (July 14-21) so we expect you all to volunteer for that (click on the Volunteer tab above).

To create a team, players must email the league director and indicate how many players they expect to be able to recruit for their team.  Since we are now at Clear Creek, there is no limit to how many teams we can have.  The league director reserves the right to limit league participation to an even number of teams so that there are no byes during the season. We also reserve the right to combine small teams or add free agents to your team to get folks playing.

Players may register and select their teams when they join.  If you are signing up without a specific team to join, please select "Free Agent List" as your option.  Once registration is closed, we will work to get everyone on teams, when we see where the needs are.

Teams can have no more than 3 club/college players* and must be sure they have enough women to play a 5/2 gender ratio**. At the discretion of the League Director, as registration progresses, smaller teams may have free agent players assigned to them or may be joined with other small teams to ensure an even number of teams and to ensure everyone who wants to play is on a team. Free agent players are encouraged to sign up for Wednesday nights. No guys will be allowed to sub for the tournament. Women subs will be allowed at the discretion of the League Director**.

Players must be at least 14 years old or 13 years old if playing with a parent. Team captains must be at least 21 years old.

*A club/college player is defined as anyone who has played club or college within the last 5 years (even if they only played one year of such), anyone who has played professionaly, or any HS player who has completed two full summers of YCC (or the equivalent).

**Women players: Our goal is to encourage women to play, but we also don't want to burn them out by playing full games when they aren't ready. Please keep this in mind as you recruit for the summer!  Please expect to play 5/2.  Teams with only one woman must play down (5/1) unless BOTH captains agree on another format.  

Subs will be for teams that have fewer than 10 guy players/3 women players. If you have this many players, NO SUBS!!! If you think you'll be low, you can recruit, but everyone will go into the same sub pool, doled out by the league director. The director will only send out subs when requested by a captain - you'll have to let the director know you need a sub by 6:25pm. Subs will sign in, and they'll get sent out in that order. So the subs you recruit may or may not play for you. Women subs: if you have 3 women, then no subs unless you know for sure they can't play a full game. Then you get 1 sub, if we have them.
